Two folklore books that will be never forgotten.
Folklore books are fictional stories that have been in our childhood
generation to generation. Two of my favorites folklore books are Caperucita
Roja – Red riding hood, and El Patito Feo – The ugly duckling. Those stories came
to my mind at first because I grow up reading them. Both books have been translated
into more than 100 languages.
Red riding hood. Its origins can be traced back to several pre-17th century European folk tales. The two best-known versions were written by Charles Perrault and the Brothers Grimm. For this assignment, I used the version that was retold and illustrated by James Marshall. I love the animation of each page of this book and the pastel colors he used. It was my first time reading this book in English and it drove me to my childhood memories.
These books are masterpieces in children's literacy and should
be telling every year to our kids because the most important is to keep these
traditional stories for many years more.
